MUMBAI: A special court on Tuesday extended till March 15, the remand of extradited gangster Ravi Pujari, who is wanted in more than 49 serious offences in the city.
Before the court, Pujari expressed his wish to share some, so far undisclosed, information.
He was produced before the special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court judge D E Kothalikar in connection with the 2016 firing at Gajalee restaurant in Vile Parle.
While seeking his remand extension, special public prosecutor Sunil Gonsalves submitted in court that some important revelations are required to be elicited . These revelations, he said, will unearth the entire conspiracy .

MUMBAI: Extradited gangster Ravi Pujari, who is wanted in more than 49 serious offences in the city, was produced before the special MCOCA court on Tuesday in connection with the 2016 firing at Gajalee restaurant in Vile Parle and remanded to police custody till March 9. The police said Pujari will be kept in highly guarded stone-brick lockup at the police headquarters at Crawford Market under 24x7 CCTV vigilance.
The city crime branch has formed a special team of officers from the anti-extortion cell, led by inspector Sachin Kadam, to interrogate Pujari under the supervision of deputy commissioner of police (crime) Prakash Jadhav.

Two days after taking gangster Ravi Pujari into custody, the Mumbai crime branch team reached Mumbai early morning on Tuesday. Wanted in 49 cases registered against him in Mumbai, Pujari will be produced before the MCOCA court later in the day, confirmed officials.
On Sunday, the Mumbai Police team comprising Inspector Ajay Sawant took Pujari into custody in Karnataka and left for Mumbai by road. Heavy security arrangements had been made for his journey to Mumbai, and appropriate arrangements were made in Mumbai as well, where he will be lodged, confirmed a senior police official.

Oberoi Realty has bought out Sahana Group’s 50 percent stake in the under construction 221-key five-star hotel in Mumbai’s Worli area for Rs 1,040 crore.
The luxury property was acquired through Oberoi’s subsidiary Evenstar Hotels from Oasis Realty in which Sahana Group’s Sudhakar Shetty held 50 percent stake, The Economic Times reported.
