Around 5,000 tribals from across the state participated in the 'Ulgulan Adivasi Delisting Maharally' to put pressure on the government to delist all tribals who had converted to Christianity or Islam. The rally was organised by Janajati Suraksha Manch (JSM), which is supported by the RSS. BJP lawmakers also participated in the rally. The tribals demand the delisting of converted ones from the ST list and urge political parties to resist from giving tickets to converted tribals on ST seats.
Ranchi, Dec 24 (PTI) Thousands of tribals on Sunday took out a rally at Ranchi's Morabadi Ground to demand the 'delisting' of tribals who have converted to other religions such as Christianity and Islam from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) list.
BJP national president JP Nadda on way to Chhattisgarh had a brief stay at Birsa Munda International Airport Ranchi where he met State BJP senior leaders. During his brief halt at Airport, Nadda had discussion regarding election preparations in the state.
