The SWM wing, which has been criticised for not doing much about removing black spots, has ended up beautifying 100 black spots in the city. The SWM department, in association with The Ugly Indian, began identifying and beautifying black spots on February 15 and successfully completed beautifying 100 such areas in 45 days by the end of March 31. “We are pleased to report that the target has been met. One-hundred large, chronic, perennial eyesores at prominent junctions and on main/arterial roads have been eliminated and spaces transformed, as part of the BBMP #Clean100Campaign,’’ said a volunteer of The Ugly Indian.
