Digitisation of media practice for optimal performance

In recognising dangers posed to lives and livelihoods of journalists during the pandemic, the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and Associated Institutions (NASU) said improving knowledge on technology and training in the core areas of specialisation in journalism is important now more than ever. x   General Secretary, NASU, Peters Adeyemi, said this at a capacity-building seminar facilitated by the Labour Writers’ Association of Nigeria (LAWAN) at the weekend in Ogun State.   Represented by a former President of NASU, Ivor Takor, Adeyemi, who spoke on the theme, ‘Empowering media practitioners for future challenges: Reflections on COVID-19,’ emphasised the need for journalists to look at skill gaps and see how to close the gaps.
