Bangladesh celebrated its 49th Victory Day with tributes for its martyrs in the Liberation War of 1971.
Due to a fresh surge of COVID-19 cases, the celebration was done on a limited scale and without the usual massive gatherings.
Special prayers were offered in churches, mosques, temples, pagodas, and other places of worship for the departed souls and for the country s peace, progress and prosperity.
