High School Sports: Soccer: Late goal saves tie for Berryville (4/6/21)

Tuesday, April 6, 2021 At one point in his team’s game at Clarksville on Tuesday, March 30, Berryville Lady Bobcats coach Aaron felt confident in a victory. At another point, he was afraid the Lady Bobcats might lose. In the end, Berryville escaped with a 3-3 tie. The Lady Bobcats led 2-1 early in the second half on goals by Lucy Reyes and Mia Thurman. But Clarksville rallied to take a 3-2 lead with four minutes to play. Berryville responded, however, as Thurman scored her second goal of the day off an assist from Sarah Pruente. “We went from ‘we should definitely win this game,’ to ‘we are definitely going to lose this game,’ to ‘hey, we found a way to get a half,’ ” Hall said.
