Kolkata: Covid got defeated by a two-month-old baby at a city hospital. Spandan is the first private hospital of the city to set up its own Neonatal ICU for Covid treatment.
The baby was admitted under consultant neonatologist and pediatrician Dr Sumanta Bhattacharya on November 12. Patient was admitted with high-grade fever for three days along with many episodes of convulsion and loose motion.
He told Indiablooms, “We did all the necessary blood tests along with RT-PCR SARS-Covid test from the throat and nasopharyngeal swab.”
