skiing events are taking place at a lower elevation at cypress mountain. it s simply too warm. the temperatures in the upper 30s today. for the most part of last week they were in the 40s. it s tough to keep snow from melting at those temperatures. what they re doing, they re helicoptering snow down from higher peaks to where these events are going to start taking place this weekend. there are dump trucks being used to move snow around. they re doing what they can to try to keep those competition runs ready to go starting this saturday when the free stylers will hit the course there. the u.s. free style ski team, we spoke to members yesterday, they said they have no concerns at all. they saw pictures. they say there s snow on the mountain. that s all they care about. one of the athletes mentioned when they were in italy, there was dirt on both sides of the run and snow in the middle. they say these organizers will do what they can to make sure the snow is ready to go. the president of
