Officers were appointed Monday at an organizational meeting of Sturgis Public Schools Board of Education.  Scott Boland maintains his position as board president, as does Scott Swihart as vice president. Emily Halling remains board secretary. Gwen Donmyer was named treasurer.  Following the organizational segment, a study session was held, in which board members were informed about several purchases. The district received four bids to replace a 27-year-old dishwasher at Eastwood Elementary School. The appliance was installed when the school was built in 1994. The district received bids from HPS, Charney Commercial, Stafford-Smith and Douglas Equipment. District administration recommended to the board the Champion Confidential Model No. PP-28 from Stafford-Smith with a booster heater for $44,946.
