BLM approves travel plan providing for diverse recreational opportunities and access

The Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District launched the 2021 competitive grant programs totaling $33.4 million for park development across Los Angeles County, with online applications open until Oct. 28.
Funded by Measure A, the programs are open for online applications by eligible park development entities from April 30 to October 28 at 10:00 a.m.
Virtual workshops for the competitive grant programs will be held on May 12 and June 9.
In 2016, LA County voters passed the Los Angeles County Safe, Clean Neighborhood Parks and Beaches Measure (Measure A) by 74.9%.
The annual parcel tax, which taxes real property in the County at a rate of 1.6 cents per square of development, generates approximately $95 million in revenue every year.

RBC | It’s been a lengthy process, but the Bureau of Land Management, White River Field Office, has issued a decision to approve a land exchange with Buffalo Horn Properties, LLC. The parcels are in the Strawberry Creek and Smith Gulch areas in Rio Blanco and Moffat counties.
In 2011, BLM proposed a Buffalo Horn Land Exchange involving 6,645 acres of private land in six parcels for 7,629 acres of federal land in 18 parcels, the latter generally in the upper Strawberry Creek area. By the end of 2016, the proposal had morphed into exchanging three private parcels comprising 4,036 acres for 16 parcels of BLM comprising 3,806 acres.
community is raising their minimum wage to $15 an hour to see how it shakes out. do you have people who lose their jobs because the minimum wage is being raised and you set that against the amount of increased spending among those who have a little more money and the growth prospects that creates. the hope is that spurs on new hiring. the numbers wash out very closely in the study areas where they ve done this. as haired said, the times where minimum wage has been hiked, you haven t seen a big fall in employment numbers in those areas. obviously everybody understands these are short-term fixes which bring with nem complications and only long-term fix to social mobility is improving education in the country. no doubt about it.
