Dianne Halliday was born in Pennsylvania. After a musical school life she studied at the famous Eastman School of music specialising in organ and flute.
In her professional career she has concentrated on the organ. She moved to Wellington in 1983 and over the last 23 years has been director of music at St Peters on Willis, recitalist, organ builder and tuner for the South Island Organ Company. Retiring in 2020, she and her husband now live in Hamilton.

A freshwater enthusiast in Romania has studied decades of data on Rotorua s lakes and found water quality is on an upward trajectory, with Lake Rotorua most improved.
But the outlook closer to home remains sober with some experts saying there is a long way to go.
Catalin Trif, a project manager based in Cluj-Napoca in Romania s northwest, founded his passion project Lakepedia in 2015 and said it was born out of a fascination for lakes and rivers .
The website, an online encyclopaedia of lakes, is run by Trif and one other volunteer.

There was one bats t crazy woman of a certain age who clearly needed someone in her class to realign her chakras when she started yelling and ranting that we shouldn t have two car parks, that it was just greedy and she was going bankrupt paying parking fees. But she was not the norm.
