Tulane’s beautiful, tree-lined campus will feel like home in no time. Our students can choose to live in residential colleges with people who share their interests, or opt for a more traditional dorm experience. Residence halls and libraries offer quiet places to study but there are many other cozy spots to study or even take a nap between classes.
With over 25 dining locations on campus, students are never far from a wide range of meals and snacks. A monthly farmer’s market, food trucks and a late night diner are some of the most popular offerings.

LTC
(WHBL) – Computer technology is now ubiquitous in the work world, yet many are concerned that their skills might not make the grade, especially when one job disappears and a new one requires confidence on the keyboard. A new, free series from Lakeshore Technical College aims to help achieve that confidence.
Titled “Crush IT”, the series of 30-minute sessions is an expansion of workshops LTC was already providing to current students, making them available at no cost to the general public.
Topics include Microsoft Basic Word and Power Point, and also address college-related subjects that students will need most anywhere they attend, including connecting with the virtual classroom.
It contains courses available through the CAO, at both Level 8 and Level 7/6, including most, if not all, of the changes announced since the publication of the CAO Handbook. It is a guide and every effort is made to ensure accuracy. Applicants should also do their own research.
Further changes may occur in the months ahead. Students should keep an eye on the college alert lists, which can be found in the Student Resources section of the CAO website.
Applications can be made for these courses during the ‘Change of Mind’ period.
Some courses may appear more than once in because they are considered to contain a strong element of two subject areas and students may approach these courses from different perspectives. Other courses are included only once, even though they contain elements that could be included in another subject area, but these elements are not the main focus.
Decreased enrollment, revenue and COVID-19 assistance were discussed at a town hall hosted by Chico State’s Associated Students on Dec. 2.
President Gayle Hutchinson opened the discussion by announcing that the new physical science building is set to open virtually next semester.
“The laboratories inside are second to none,” said Hutchinson. “It’s going to be a great place to conduct research, to engage in learning activities with school children and for all of our students to learn their science.”
A discussion in response to student inquiries requesting a reduction of tuition led to a financial segment led by Jaime Clyde, Executive Director of Associated Students and Mary Walmark, Director of Student Life and Leadership.
