“There was a lot of positive feedback and interest in collaborating,” she wrote.
Hasan outlined the work done by the SLC over the past months, including event planning, creating local resource lists, and researching sustainability infographic and videos.
Additionally, the SLC is launching a Queen s Sustainable Student website including province-wide and Kingston-based resources like local sustainable businesses, products, and lifestyle tips.
Hasan said the program development completed by the SLC’s Environmental Justice Youth Activist Panel included reaching out to a diverse group of climate crisis activists in Canada.
“There has been so much work put into this event from student leaders all over campus, so I m really excited to see the project come to life,” Hasan wrote.

Three weeks after the province-wide lockdown was lifted and Kingston entered the green zone, some AMS services are set to reopen.
According to AMS Vice-President (Operations) Alexandra Samoyloff’s report to AMS Assembly on Feb. 25, some services’ reopening dates were delayed because staff needed to be in the Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) region for 14 days prior to returning to their positions on campus.

A University of Sussex student has passed away

A Business, Management and Economics student has recently passed away, Sussex University has confirmed.
The university went on to confirm the student died at his home and an inquest will be held in due course.
The university has reminded students of the support services available both within the university and externally for those who have been affected.
A spokesperson for Sussex University has said: “We can confirm that a University of Sussex student died recently at home. He was studying BSc Business, Management and Economics (with a foundation year). This is an extremely difficult time for his family and his friends, and we ask that their privacy is respected. An inquest will be held in due course.
