jillian: california lawmakers taking up a bill that could make the state the first amended medication abortion as required health service by 2022. is this a good idea or slippery slope for college students? here to discuss is our panel, a student at california state university, radiologist doctor nicole safire and brad nicholas, an attorney. is this a good idea? thank you. providing abortion on college campuses is not a good idea. this is not what universities are for. they should focus on educating students. campusreform.org reports on universities taking on politically charged issues and this is another example of the california legislature pushing their political agenda on university students. not only that, starting in 2022, it leaves the door open for taxpayer dollars and student
the university of wisconsin madison abby stru. thank you for being with us. thank you for having me. ainsley: what s happening on your campus. what s happening right now students are basically mandated to pay about $1,300 worth of additional student fees every year and all these fees go to pay for little things on campus such as allocating to different student orgs. 20 times as much fund something going to liberal groups as opposed to conservative groups. conservatives and libertarians on campus are pretty sick of this. ainsley: what s your response to what the school is saying in that statement that i just read? i m not shocked by their statement or shocked by this situation. can you basically assume that at a liberal campus, especially one as uw madison that the school is going to
officers and still not made it possible for teachers to be armed? well, let s start here, those are policy decisions. hose policy decisions have really nothing to do with the legality or constitutionality of anything the state may or may not do. of course there s a way, in direct to response to your question, to get funding. a variety of ways. some may not be palatable. you increase fees, increase student fees, parking fees. there s a number of ways to get resources in order to fund the project. whether the public likes it or not is another matter. simply because resources could be allocated in a way that perhaps is deemed more appropriate, perhaps is more suitable, perhaps makes more sense, it does diagdao anything to take a doesn t do anything to take away from whether the law is passed. you have a system that s composed of a legislator in the state of florida which passes laws. the governor signs the law. and as long as the law is constitutional, that s going to
