Food hamper programs at Edmonton's two biggest universities are dealing with high demand this fall as grocery inflation strains student budgets beyond their limits.
As the school year begins, campus food banks say they are struggling to keep up with increased demand. Some universities say they have seen the same number of clients they would normally see during a month in only a week.
To help commemorate 50 years of academic excellence, MacEwan University created a time capsule to be opened in 2071, when the post-secondary institution will mark 100 years of operation.
