Delhi Air Pollution Latest News: The Supreme Court on Tuesday heard the matter of air pollution in Delhi-NCR and asked Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to stop the stubble burning immediately. It observed that there can t be a political battle all the time.
Stubble Burning Cases in Punjab Latest News: Stubble burning in Punjab, a notorious contributor to air pollution, continues to be a pressing concern, with 7,454 cases reported in the state during the month of October. Although these figures represent a decrease compared to previous years, the escalating pollution levels are a matter of growing apprehension. Data from the Corporation Residue Burning Information and Management System reveals that, in the last three days alone, 5,359 cases of stubble burning have been registered.
District administration teams on Tuesday carried out inspections in different tehsils of Amritsar and imposed fines of Rs 70,000 on farmers for burning stubble.

The Centre, in a letter to Punjab Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua, has pointed out that Bathinda and Fazilka were among the few districts that recorded an increment in stubble-burning incidents.
