Like all federal holidays, July 4 will affect most of the operational hours of local government offices. Below is a list of local government closures in observance of Independence Day.  York County York County offices will be closed on Monday, July 5 to observe Independence Day. The following facilities will be closed on July 5: county government offices, courts, York-Poquoson Social Services, Virginia Cooperative Extension Service and Waste Management Center Administrative Office as well as Waste Management’s drop-off area and transfer station.
