According to the SIU, a Durham police SUV collided with an Acura car around 4 a.m. on Oct. 17, after officers responded to a report of an automobile theft in progress near Strouds Lane and Whites Road in Pickering. During the brief escape attempt, the Acura rammed a police cruiser, leaving one man with a fractured leg and another with a dislocated wrist, said the SIU.
