Police: Salt truck driver nearly struck officers, dumped salt on cruiser during chase Jeanne Houck and Chris Mayhew, Cincinnati Enquirer
Updated, 10:05 p.m.: A salt truck driver arrested Friday after Reading police said he almost struck two of its officers and sprayed them with salt as he fled is a city of Cincinnati employee.
Cincinnati Assistant City Manager John Juech confirmed Omar Trip Armstrong, 36, is a Cincinnati Department of Public Services employee in a text to The Enquirer. The allegations are serious, and we are monitoring the situation closely, Juech said.
He would not say when Armstrong was hired or give any other details about his employment.
