Concerned with high levels of unemployment among youths in Ntcheu, child focus organization, Save the Children said will release 42.6 Million Kwacha as start-up capital to 90 youth groups in the district.
The organization s Project Manager for Pathways for Strengthened Resilience project in Ntcheu, James Gausi told Zodiak Online that with the current trends, offering alternative financial support to youths is ideal in addressing unemployment levels. Unemployment levels among youths remain the biggest problem in Malawi and need stakeholders to come up with sustainable ways to address the problem, said Gausi.
Gausi said with financial support from Irish Aid, the youth clubs have already been registered with FDH bank for group accounts.
