tried to be kind of the new era commissioner in baltimore. everybody will give him that. but he did this before in a very high profile case when a little 3-year-old girl was shot to death in a drive-by, she was obviously not the intended target, a shooting in a neighborhood and it got a lot of attention and the community was very much up in arms about it. and that was had nothing to do with police-involved shooting, just a street shooting and she s the one that ended up dead. and he set this deadline by the end of the week we ll have a suspect arrested or whatever. well, that hasn t happened and that s been almost a year. so he sets this deadline like this hard and fast deadline oh, may 1st we ll turnover our investigation. well obviously this investigation is not going to be done by may 1st. so friday he did back off of that and say, well, okay we won t be done at that point. the investigation will go on. but we will turn our materials over to the state s attorney.
