A man who was found dead in a tent in a Winnipeg encampment this week struggled with addiction and homelessness but desperately wanted to find somewhere to live, according to the director of an outreach organization that worked with him.
Bill Pchajek says moving from a shack near CF Polo Park shopping centre to an apartment took some adjustment, but he’s grateful to the people who helped him find a place to live and hopes one day to help others in similar situations.
