Private schools in the city have decided not to hold online classes for schoolchildren eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine, but who have not taken it. Such students will be marked absent and no arrangements for online classes will be made for them.
Spiralling school fee is gradually making education out of reach of the common man, with the admission fee touching over Rs1 lakh and the annual fee of a kindergarten student crossing Rs80,000 in private schools in the city.

Jeremiah Quinlan, Dean of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid at Yale University, believes this is a win for all students – especially international applicants. “The new format will be more familiar, and the test easier to administer, more accessible and secure,” Quinlan said.
