Beale Street in Clarksville: New bill allows open container in 'Downtown Entertainment District'

Clarksville Now CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Open container will soon be allowed in downtown Clarksville during certain days and hours thanks to new state legislation designating a “Downtown Entertainment District.” According to bill, sponsored by Rep. Jason Hodges and Sen. Bill Powers, the city can now designate times to allow open container outdoors. Traffic would be shut down on affected streets during these hours. “It brings a little bit of Beale Street to Clarksville,” Hodges told Clarksville Now. “We have remarkable new investments in our downtown area, but there is more potential,” Powers said, adding that the new law will increase tourism and encourage job creation.

How to make madeleines, the traditional French pastry

Madeleine: a woman from Magdala or high tower. Madeleine: a powerful image of nostalgia immortalized by writers such as Marcel Proust, and kept alive by the people who bake them regularly; by Hajasoa herself. Madeleine: ma-də-lən , ma-də-ˈlān  A traditional French pastry, a grandmother’s namesake, the object of literary affection; perhaps the best kept secret of the café on the corner of Strawberry Alley and First Street is its name. Just two flavors. the soon-to-be former owner of Madeleine s Place, Hajasoa Boseca, explains of her signature creation.  Vanilla and honey, but honey is my favorite.
