And with a bottle of his Semi-Dry Riesling and two wine glasses, Agness set to pitch the hotel’s Wine Spectator-rated restaurant on his wine. Actually, he didn’t really have to do much talking he brought wine, remember.
The cork he uses 100 percent natural, grade one Portuguese cork, “the best you can buy in the world,” Agness said grabbed attention and marked him as someone who meant business. The tasting got Agness on the wine list and, he said, his “first big win.”
