Law firms BTG Legal and Advaya Legal are merging to form BTG Advaya, with a total of 11 partners and offices in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi. The merged firm will maintain a partner-to-associate ratio of 1:4. BTG Legal was founded by Prashant Mara in 2014 after working with international law firm Osborne Clarke, while Advaya Legal was founded in 2010 by Ramesh Vaidyanathan. The merger aims to enhance their ability to provide top-tier legal services and diversify their client base.
Indias largest casino chain Delta Corp has been issued an intimation by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence, Hyderabad alleging tax liability of Rs 11,139 crore along with interest and penalty for the period from July 2017 to March 2022. If the dues remain unpaid it will be served with a show-cause notice, the company said in a stock exchange filing on Friday.
"Resson has received a Certificate of Dissolution from Corporations Canada dated 20th September 2023, which was informed to the Company on 20th September 2023 at 8.19 p.m.," M&M said in the regulatory filing. The dissolution means that the Canadian firm no longer exists, with Mahindra receiving compensation for the Class C preferred shares it held in the company.
Kotak Data Center Fund has invested INR 600 crore in Sify Infinit Spaces, a subsidiary of Sify Technologies. This brings the total equity commitment from Kotak Alternate Asset Managers to INR 1,600 crore. The funds will be used to expand Sify Infinit Spaces data center capacity across India and to invest in renewable energy.
