The Strasburg Franklin Local School District will be seeking new leadership after Superintendent Cindy Brown announced her resignation for the purpose of retirement, effective July 31.
The board of education plans to accept her resignation at the 6:30 p.m. May 19 board meeting.
Brown was hired in 2014 and was recently granted a new five-year contract.
“We have accomplished a lot of great things in my seven years at Strasburg, Brown said. I am proud of the vision and direction we were able to create. I will truly miss this wonderful community, staff and students. I want to thank the community and the Board of Education for their constant support and leadership.”
