Karl-Anthony Towns scored 24 points, Anthony Edwards added 23 and the Minnesota Timberwolves pulled away in the second half for a 121-100 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night in a matchup of two of the top teams in the Western Conference. Rudy Gobert had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Timberwolves (37-16) remained atop the Western Conference with their third win in the last four games. It is the 10th time the Timberwolves have won this season when trailing at halftime, which is second in the NBA.
Purdue center Zach Edey wanted to leave Indiana with a lingering impression Saturday. The reigning national player of the year had 26 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and the first 3-pointer of his career while leading No. 2 Purdue to a 79-59 victory over archrival Indiana. The 7-foot-4 Edey dominated the middle again and he had plenty of help as the Boilermakers (22-2, 11-2 Big Ten) won their eighth straight.
Jeremiah Williams scored 18 points in his first home game of the season and Rutgers used a stifling defense to lead the entire game and hand No. 11 Wisconsin its fourth straight loss 78-56 on Saturday. The Scarlet Knights (13-10, 5-7 Big Ten) scored 15 points off 12 Wisconsin turnovers to secure their third straight win. Noah Fernandes contributed 17 points and Clifford Omoruyi added 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Brunson had 29 points and nine assists, Donte DiVincenzo made a career-high nine 3-pointers and the Knicks beat the Utah Jazz 118-103 on Tuesday night for their eighth straight victory. DiVincenzo scored 33 to lead the Knicks, who finished 14-2 in January.
