STOUGHTON, Wis. Authorities have responded to a gas leak in Stoughton on Thursday evening.
Dane County dispatch said it received a call at 7:37 p.m. regarding an incident on the 1800 block of Sunrise Court. Officials said someone had been digging outside when they struck a gas line.
West Milwaukee Street and Pleasant View Drive have been closed as a result, along with Hilldale Lane at Pleasant View Drive.
Alliant Energy is at the scene to assist the Stoughton Fire Department.

Two cars and a garage were destroyed and a third vehicle was damaged when a fire started in a detached garage in Stoughton and caused damage to the nearby house, officials said.
The Stoughton Fire Department responded to 404 Page St. about 3:55 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a fire in a garage.
Firefighters immediately saw heavy fire coming from the 1 1/2-story garage, Assistant Fire Chief Michael Carroll said. The gentleman who lives there owns a race car, Carroll said. He off-loaded it and put it in there and it backfired and started a fire.
The resident also stored racing fuel in the garage, which contributed to the fire twisting and bending a steel support beam, Carroll said.
