Andres, the earliest tropical storm of the eastern Pacific holds on

Monday, May 10th 2021, 10:54 am - Andres is the earliest named storm ever in the eastern Pacific, beating out the previous record set by Tropical Storm Adrian in 2017 by just a mere 12 hours, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The 2021 hurricane season is already off to a roaring start and it has yet to officially launch anywhere.
Tropical Storm Andres came to life on Sunday, May 9 in the eastern Pacific Ocean after developing into a depression on the weekend. This comes six days ahead of schedule for the May 15 start of the eastern Pacific Ocean hurricane season, which will conclude Nov. 30.
