Wisconsin U.S. Attorney vows to prosecute anyone who traveled with intent to riot in D.C.
Mathew Krueger, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and top-ranking federal law enforcement official in our area, sent us a statement saying his office âwill prosecute federal offenses related to civil unrest to the fullest extent possible, including any individuals who traveled from Wisconsin with the intent to riot.â

MILWAUKEE â U.S. attorneys around the country, including many picked by President Donald Trump, are publicly acknowledging that crimes were committed when rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol Building Wednesday.
The U.S. Capitol has been overrun by pro-Trump demonstrators, and the D.C. Metropolitan police believe protesters used "chemical irritants" on police to get access to the building. Police also confirmed one person has gunshot wounds.
