Category 4 hurricane. It is category 3 right now. But strengthening again. This is showing a lot of resilience. It is impressive in that way as well. 130 miles an hour winds on friday. At 2 00 a. M. You can see that movement, right along the east coast of florida, the space coast, from palm bay through cocoa beach all the way up to daytona beach. 130 miles an hour winds. Keeping in mind as we have said, the strongest part of the storm in terms of winds will be on the eastern side of the eye. Most of the bay area is located. That is the weaker side, but still, if you are close to that eye wall, the winds could be very, very intense. That is why the folks in some of the inland areas are under the Tropical Storm warnings. Some are estimating a landfall. Some say just offshore. It is still a concern. We will start with max defender 8. A few showers continue to pass across the area. Thats a live sweep picking up on showers in Hillsborough County at the moment. They are drifting rapidly to the southwest. You can see a few lightning strikes involved with that. News about the path matthew is taking. We have potentially good news. Because the shifted continue to move easterly or westerleigh as we head into the next 48 hours. A big ship to the east this morning happened, and i like to see this. Look at this. The closeup track shows this storm well offshore of North Carolina through sunday morning. Sunday morning, winds would be right around 100 Miles Per Hour. Still a category two storm. It weakens as we head toward next monday. We will watch this. In the meantime, a track that says that stays out to see would have less impact for us. I will write that down in our complete storm team forecast. Another one coming right behind it. We havent been able to find any big rain across the past seven months and now were getting it all at once. The storm situation stem moving in as we speak. Another one will move in as we head towards tomorrow evening into sunday. Here is what were looking at right now. We can see satellite and radar fired up. We have storm ranger in place on mt. Allison. Thats bringing the best resolution and radar tracking this morning. You can see a lot of it lights up making its way into the south bay right now. This is light stuff making its way into downtown near the foothills, east bay area, alum rock and towards sunnyvale. Thats light rain, probably enough to get the ground wet and activate the windshield wipers. Look whats coming to the north near ukiah. That stuff is making its way into the north bay.
