Emergency Proclamation signed ahead of Tropical Storm Calvin; non-essential state offices close on Hawaiʻi Island : Maui Now

In anticipation of Tropical Storm Calvin, Governor Green signed an Emergency Proclamation today to make resources available to address potential storm impacts. State offices in the County of Hawaiʻi will be closed on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 due to expected severe weather conditions.

At 5 a.m., Calvin was located 920 miles ESE of Hilo, Hawaiʻi; 990 miles ESE of Hāna, Maui; and 1025 miles ESE of Kahului, Maui.
