had going to the convention that this could be delayed or interrupted, you do not see that happening? guest: in the last 36 hours the storm is headed further west. it looks like we will get rain and wind in tampa. but not a hurricane. hopefully it will continue to go further to the west and well get less rain, like you heard our state is wet right now so there are different parts of the state. if we get a lost rain we will get flooding. neil: floridians are a sturdy lot. they are used to this. do they get blase about this? the other day, governor, you reminded me, a good remainder, that a lot of rain and a lot of wind can still cause a lot of problems. how do you characterize how floridians prepare for this? guest: well, we have a very
major storm expected to make landfall this year, and investors have the jitters and some some things in the background with corn hit an all time high, so there are a lot of things happening at once to point to the high price. a lot of anxiety over the storm, with so many different forecasts on the tracks and strength of the storm, it is causing concern. you have from mild to some say it could advance rapidly to a category two. who knows? do the markets, really, do they delineate? they see storm, and they see the whirling blob, right? guest: that is right, since katrina came through and not only took out a lot of infrastructure, on shore and offshore, this has been the concern, that sure will tear up the gulf of mexico. they will probably do some
