50th birthday celebrations at Market Rasen Library EMN-210421-162502001
Known for their community celebration events, library staff were looking forward to marking the milestone with all their customers, but covid restrictions meant it wasn’t possible.
However, undeterred, they rewarded every visitor on April 21 with a cupcake, baked by manager Georgina Carr and staff member Ann Middleton.
Georgina said: “It has been lovely to welcome people back into the library where we have been serving the community for the past 50 years.
Julie Lambie from MRAG collected the books from the library.
“People have been sharing their memories – some remembering coming to the library as children and others their fond memories of previous library staff, such as Pam Islip, whose name has come up a number of times.”
