New road safety legislation introduced Monday would bring steep new penalties for stunt racing, allow for streetcar cameras to catch instances of illegal passing, and mandate the certification of tow truck drivers.
The Moving Ontarians More Safely (MOMS) Act would also provide new definitions for different types of e-bikes, so that bicycle-style, mopeds and motorcycle-style two-wheelers are not all grouped together in the Highway Traffic Act under the category of power-assisted bicycles.
