GALAMEDIA -Apa itu body shaming? Body shaming adalah merendahkan fisik orang lain atau diri sendiri. Merupakan salah satu jenis bullying yang kerap terjadi tanpa disadari. Selain tak pantas dilakukan, mencela orang lain melalui body shaming juga dapat dipidanakan.
Apakah kamu pernah menjadi korban body shaming? Candaan yang merujuk pada aksi mengkritik dan mengomentari bentuk fisik seseorang. Seperti “Eh, kamu gendutan ya?”, “Makannya banyak sih, pantas saja gendut!”, atau “Kok kamu jadi tambah hitam”.
Ungkapan kalimat tersebut kemudian disusul dengan gelak tawa dari orang-orang. Biasanya pelaku body shaming biasanya justru merasa hal tersebut dilakukan atas dasar bercanda dan tidak sengaja.
