Sylvan Lake-based Stone Soap over the past year has produced hundreds of thousands of gallons of hand sanitizer for Ford Motor Co. as part of a quantity-specific, seven-figure deal.
A year after the pandemic began in metro Detroit, a local company has come out clean thanks to a deal with an auto supplier that led to a contract with a Detroit automaker.
Stone Soap, a Sylvan Lake-based company that specializes in soap production and traditionally focused on the car wash industry, last spring entered into a jobs-saving partnership with a tier one supplier to Ford Motor Co. to produce hand sanitizer.
