Fire raced across a mountainous area 55 miles northeast of los angeles friday. Drivers panicked as the flames jumped a busy interstate from los angeles to las vegas. Catching drivers by surprise. It startedded to go really quickly up the mountain. Fire Officials Say 40mile an hour winds made the fire fight difficult. That wind, boy, that was a tough drop. The nearly six square mile blaze destroyed everything in its path, including 60 vehicles and three homes in the community of baldy mesa, and its still racing toward another 700 homes. Nearly 2800 people remain evacuated. Another wild fire is burning out of control. Overnight, hundreds of campers, including girl scouts were forced to leave the community. The fire has destroyed 125 acres. So far, its about 10 contained. Rain in the forecast could help firefighters gain control of both fires. Five people were found inside, all were dead. No information is being released, but the ages or the sex of the people found and police are not saying if they are looking for any suspects. Both in San Bernardino county. We saw it tear across the freeway yesterday, torching dozens of cars. Not far away, another fire is out of control. The sky was glowing last night as flames approached the community. It forced hundreds of campers to evacuate. And this gives you a better idea of where the fires are. A cartoon animator was sitting there working on his latest project when four people in hoodies burst through the front door. They start headed right toward me. And i just couldnt believe it was happening. Then suddenly, he just grabs my laptop right out of my hand, knocks the drink over, and hes out the door with it.
