GREENSBORO, N.C. 18 school districts in the Triad are teaming up to fill open positions by the next school year.
On Tuesday, May 4, and Wednesday, May 5, human resource professionals from the school districts will host virtual information sessions, to talk to people looking for jobs and explain open positions.
The districts are looking to hire those with and without four-year degrees.
During the information sessions, interested individuals can learn more about the jobs and get connected to the school district where they live or where they are interested in pursuing a career pathway.

(Raleigh, NC) A new COVID-19 vaccine is on its way to North Carolina. The FDA just gave emergency approval for Johnson & Johnson s single dose vaccine, which is shipping out nationwide this week. North Carolina is expected to receive anywhere from 30-to-60-thousand doses initially. More than a-million-and-a-half vaccines have been distributed statewide so far.
General Assembly Taking On School Bill After Veto
(Raleigh, NC) North Carolina s General Assembly is taking up the school re-opening bill again this week. Governor Roy Cooper vetoed a plan Friday which will require the state s public school systems to offer some type of in-person learning. Cooper said he feels the plan falls short of following proper safety guidelines to re-open. There s already expected to be enough support to override the veto.

He starts the role March 1. Commissioners discussed the role of the new sheriff during Monday s meeting. The Stokes Republican Executive Committed voted on Saturday to elect Lemons. Commissioners voted in favor without further discussion.Current Sheriff Mike Marshall has announced he will retire at the end of February.Earlier this month, Marshall told the Stokes County Commissioners of his intention to step down. He told members he has been dealing with several recent health issues, and news he has received from doctors is not good.
