Sunnyside elementary in sioux city was one of more than 280 schools in 80 counties across the state participating in the iowa youth president ial straw poll. Students acted as adult voters would in the president ial election. They started at voter checkin. Then they were off to voting booths before turning in their votes at an official county ballot box.
