LOS ANGELES (CNS) - As they do every year at this time, members of the local rabbit rescue community are urging people to avoid the temptation to purchase or adopt bunnies as Easter gifts for their children.
They say what begins as a well-meaning gesture often leads to abandoned bunnies when the novelty wears off and families realize they re not equipped to properly care for the animals.
The Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation sent out its annual message this week, reminding the public that “real baby rabbits, chicks and ducklings make poor Easter presents. If you are tempted to buy a real rabbit for the Easter basket, please reconsider.
The county last week officially crossed the 4 million mark in total COVID-19 doses administered. According to the Department of Public Health, a total of 4,013,521 doses had been administered in the county as of last Saturday.

As COVID cases continue to rise all over the world, Delta Airlines has announced it will start selling tickets for middle seats again on May 1st. The move ends coronavirus safety precautions on U.S. planes as Delta was the last one with mandates in place.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian says the decision was made because “more people are getting vaccinated against the coronavirus.”
Delta will also be bringing back their in-flight snacks on April 14! And if you fly Delta One or in their first class cabins, you can expect to see hot meals making a return on some transcontinental flights in early June.
