Construction at Hendersonville High School is projected to be complete by August of 2022, 11 months early, and at a projected savings of $500,000 for the $59.1 million project.

Construction at Hendersonville High School is on track for completion in 2023.
The $59.1 million plan involves construction of a two-story building as well as renovation of the Stillwell Building and 1974 gymnasium.
So far, costs are under budget, according to Henderson County Business and Community Development Director John Mitchell.
Carl Taylor, Henderson County Public Schools chief administrative officer, updated the Board of Education on the progress of the project during its meeting Monday.
Floors in the auxiliary gym have been painted and work continues there. Tile work in the locker rooms below the auxiliary gym is complete. The pedestrian bridge that connects the new building to the Stillwell Building has been built and concrete poured.
