but the man running it is an appointee of price. how much heat with they give the cbo and get away with it? a lot of heat. president trump and the white house have the bully pulpit like no others in terms of going on the attack. and the reality is that president trump wasn t elected arguing dollars and cents and numbers and facts and figures and all of these details. he focused on repeal and replace obamacare. repeal and replace obamacare. if they continue that mantra, they can at least know a lot of the republican base, a lot of the folks who are going to be voting in 2018, who members in the house need to be concerned about, they just want that law repealed and replaced. that s what they want. and the issue is more in the senate. that s where you get into much stickier, you know, area, because in part, a lot of members, some of the republican members, don t have these same concerns politically. and you know, what tom cotton said, he said, we re going to lose the house if you guys
constituents since 2010 they are were going to do that. what is the strategy? we are looking on capitol hill today because dueling meetings president obama is talking to house democrats. that is a rare thing as you know. mike pence appearing at the microphone with the house leadership talking with repealing the health care law. it s actually turning out to be a little stickier, i think, for republicans than many people anticipated. a couple of things to watch for here. first of all, for democrats, one thing we are starting to see on the messaging front is democrats talking a lot about medicare. they know the word obamacare what people perceive as obamacare is very unpopular. medicare, on the other hand, isn t. for people getting health care through the law and don t associate it with the president a disconnect there how democrats with figure out out to
job in this administration. you think at some point here if this continues the pace, you would hear from a jason chaffetz? no. what will stop the problem is the challenge is they are clearly, you know, first of all, an unusual situation. second, we don t know the full extent of them because they did not reveal his tax returns. we didn t know as much about where the conflicts might arise and, third, this very unusual situation with his family running the business, rather than a blind trust. he doesn t need to have a blind trust. no rule that says he has to have a blind trust. he was exempted. all i m saying is that if no one, if no one inside the congress or the administration challenges it, the odds are high that they will get in a much stickier situation somewhere down the road than these initial ones. you can make a case that kind of raising yellow flags now would, in fact, would, in fact, be in the interest of the president-elect and that this idea of kind of protecting hi
