the responsibility of the state to back fill. the federal government to back fill to ensure that we have access to basic things like contraception, sti testing and treatment and cancer screenings. these are things that, you know, without can actually lead to public health crisis. so the state has got to intervene. do you see this as a temporary separation from title x? could you re-establish ties, a relationship after president trump and this administration is no longer in office? yes. and we ve seen that s what s happened over history when certain administrations have come in and made decisions such as these. but the reality is we need we re talking 1.6 million women now who may have to, you know, have a delay in care. have a not access to care at all. we need those women to be supported now because, you know, now they need the access to birth control. we don t want health centers to potentially close.
but as you pointed out, in the history of it, it never went into effect. it s a very bad idea. basically what women need is to get health care from professionals who are expert in reproductive health care. in the title 10 that s who get selected. who gets selected is providers who know about women s health care, they re experts in women s health care, they re expert in providing that health care. and that includes places that do the whole range of women s reproductive health care. in the title 10 program they re just doing sti testing, family planning, cancer screenings important, life-saving procedures, but what women might want to do is go to a clinic where they can get the whole range of services. including counseling about abortion services if they find out through a pregnancy test in their title 10 program that they re pregnant. it s one of the options women constitutionally have in this country. yes. and they want to talk to their doctors about it. do you feel they ve rol
unintended pregnancy and that country. and that s a real irony here. megyn: joining me now is dana loesch, great to see you. let me start with you, they get some funds, they say it doesn t go for abortion services, the critics say monday is fundable. that s where the objection lies. to deprive them of how much money, money for anything and everything, and could you know longer even get contraception there with the help of federal money? here s what would happen. when they banned the funds, but they are sort of siding, it would stop medicaid from being allowed to pay pin, eggplant pld parenthood. for vasectomies, sti testing, and that is the side of planned
investigated. actually some were performing medical services, such as free ultra-sounds and sti testing. wait a minute, carey, let me pull that graphic up. you say 94, our research is 92% don t even have medical professionals on staff? that s correct. that s correct. 24% disclose they re not medical facilities? how how are they allowed to operate advertising to women that they can come here and get abortions? well, because of the fact that they re not licensed medical facilities, they don t have to disclose that information, and they don t, you know, in many of the fine print says that our volunteers collected says things like, we can disclose your medical information to anyone we want to. the reason for that is they re not bound by the privacy laws
and like i said before, these are many of these women are marginalized already. and this might be the only place they can go for their general health care needs. not to mention their reproductive health care needs, such as birth control, and their regular annual pap smears. and cancer testing. sti testing. these are things that are very important to the women of virginia, but especially those groups that tend to be underinsured, uninsured, young, and rural women. they really depend on these facilities. i mentioned in the introduction that you re part of a group that has formed in virginia, specifically in response to this new trap law and these regulations from governor mcdonald. what are advocates in virginia doing at this point to try to strategize in this environment, and what do you think happens next after these regulations come out tomorrow? well, we definitely have formed a coalition to try to mitigate these regulations, to give us the best-case scenario,
