New details emerged Monday about a Friday afternoon collision involving a semi tractor trailer and Stewartville school bus.
Olmsted County Sheriff s Capt. Scott Behrns said the truck driver, Bahan Rostomyan, 45, of Burbank, Calif., faces a potential gross misdemeanor charge for failing to stop, along with possible misdemeanor charges of careless and reckless driving.
Rostomyan was reportedly driving west on County Road 6 Southwest in High Forest Township and didn’t see the bus stopped in the 7300 block to let students off. A pickup driven by Jeffrey Hyke, 37, of Racine, also was stopped behind the bus.
