It was a busy but enjoyable week at Goodwood where two horses stole the show for me.
Lady Bowthorpe’s first Group One1 success in the Qatar Nassau Stakes was tremendous to witness, with her ability to quicken up best on her first try over 10 furlongs proving decisive. There’ll be tougher top level assignments than this to come but her previous Falmouth Stakes fourth, when unfortunate to not go closer and perhaps not to win, has been well advertised with Mother Earth and Alcohol Free also subsequent Group One winners.
