A recent bill by the Joe Biden administration aimed at tackling COVID-19 issues straining the American economy was approved, but funding for the Seaway International Bridge was left out.
An amount of US$1.5 million was originally allocated in the $US1.9-trillion COVID-19 relief bill, but heavy criticism from Republican opposition saw the funding removed from the original bill, according to reporting last week by CBC News.
