With the school year wrapping up, Delaware colleges and universities face a decision: Should students be required to get a COVID-19 vaccine if they wish to return to campus in the fall?
As of Wednesday, both the University of Delaware and Delaware State University announced that vaccines will be required of students who return to campus.
The two schools join the roughly 200 colleges and universities nationwide that have announced vaccination requirements as students look toward the upcoming school year, according to a database maintained by the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Both students and staff at DSU are required to get vaccinated, unless they are approved for medical or religious exemptions.
