Missouri State Volleyball Wins MVC Opener

Missouri State rallied from a 2-1 set deficit at Southern Illinois Saturday afternoon to claim a 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 17-25, 25-15, 15-12) victory over the Salukis and win its Missouri Valley Conference volleyball opener for the first time since 2017.
The Bears (5-1, 1-0) evened the match with a dominant fourth set performance and closed on a 4-0 run after trailing 15-12 in the fifth, getting double-doubles from Brooklyn Cink and Amelia Flynn and 28 digs from Teagan Polcovich, the most for an MSU freshman since all-time digs leader Emily Butters in November 2015. Azyah Green added a season-high 10 kills on .286 hitting.
Wichita State Rallies to Upset Missouri State Volleyball

Missouri State and Wichita State renewed their volleyball rivalry Sunday afternoon with the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational title on the line, and the Bears were two points away from victory before the Shockers rallied for the five-set win at Hammons Student Center.
The Bears fell to 4-1 on the year in their best five-match start since the 2015 season, while the Shockers improved to 3-0 with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-9. Missouri State’s
